terminating parental rights

I need to know how to go about signing over my parental rights..my daughters mom is ok with it ...so what else would i need to do??

This is a critical proceeding, and one or both of you should get an attorney involved to prepare the paperwork correctly.

An agreed petition and order of termination is appropriate here. You will need to sign a waiver of service of process.

If this is not being filed jointly with a stepparent adoption, the judge may not approve the termination. You have a legal obligation to provide financial support for the child, and if the judge lets you off the hook, then the child loses out on that financial support.

An attorney in your county (county of the child's residence) can advise you both on the best way to proceed to accomplish both of your goals.
