Termination!!!!!!!!!!
How can a parent after being ordered to pay child support and swears under oath on the affidavit to relinquishment parental rights that he is currently ordered by virtue of the court turn around and terminate his parental rights without petitioning the court to terminate or without my consent on paper to terminate...I am fixin to petition the courts by myself and foot this alone and i need help please....I thought in texas you had to petition the courts and have the other parent served by warrant to appear or either by public notice.... And then if it takes place doesn't by texas law also state that there has to be a sealed file and a copy to the bureau of vital stat.& tdh......Help.........

A person can't unilaterally terminate his or her "rights" as a parent in order to keep from paying child support. The other parent has to agree, which means signing the agreed order and appearing at a hearing. If he or she isn't paying their child support, they can be held in contempt.
