Termination of Parental Rights

My ex-husband has already signed a waiver to release his parental rights. I want to finish the process without an attorney is there any help you can give me.

It doesn't sound like you're started in the right direction. Either get an attorney or study up more on this subject. After all, you're dealing with your child's life here.

Just because your ex-husband wants to give his rights away does not mean the Judge will agree.

If you die, then the child would be an orphan.

The Legislature of Texas wants parents to support their children. They are tired of children being on welfare when there are 2 parents that should be supporting them.

You can go to any law library and do research.

Of course, that does not mean the Judge will grant your request.

Judges here this type of request on a regular basis and many are tired of it.
