termination of parental rights

in the state of texas is it legal for my ex to sign over his parental rights even if i dnt have an aboptive father for her?

It is "legal", but most Judges are not likely to allow it. Texas has this quaint notion that both parents should contribute to the child's upbringing. It all depends on what is in the "best interest of the child".
