my ex wife hasnt seen or called my girls iin 2 1/2 months and my girls are now afraid to go with her for weekend visits. They are both over 12 years of age. Can she or her lawyer threaten a Contempt of court order and fine me for legal fees if my girls refuse to go.

Read your order. Does it say visitation is not required if the girls are afraid? If you want to change the visitation provisions for the situation you describe, you should make a motion to modify and ask for restricted or supervised visitation. OK so it's going to cost you some money, but it's better than going in front of the judge to explain why you have not complied with the order.
