Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

In Texas with Court order from Virginia

We came to visit Texas from Virginia for a funeral of my daughter's father's grandmother. Well, I came just so I could watch my daughter since she is only 22 months old. Anyways, on Thanksgiving day, he picked her up from my sister's house and later sent me a message that neither he nor my daughter would be going back to Virginia. Well, I flew down to Virginia the next day to get all the paper work filed to get her back. I got a court date pretty quickly, considering this guy is mentally stable and I had a sucidial letter to prove it. Now that I got temporary custody and a court order that demands he give her to me immeadiately, no one wants to help me actually get her. I went to the police department and the sherieff's office and they didn't want to do anything because they said it was a civil manner not criminal. I am worried about my daughter's well being, especially because he threatened to take her to another state where I don't find her. I've tried going to his house, but he tells me he doesn't care what papers I have, I am not taking her he says. What can I do?

You will have to take the VA papers to a TX court to get a TX order for the police or anyone else to assist you. It's a procedure. Find a TX lawyer. Good Luck.
