Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Texas Divorce filing requirements
My ex-wife filed for divorce in dallas county, texas, but had not been a resident of Texas for 6 months prior to filing. The final decree states, and i quote ''petitioner has been a domiciliary of the State of Texas for at least a six month period preceding the filing of this action, and has been a resident of Dallas County for at least a ninety-day period preceding the filing of this action''. She had not been a domiciliary of Texas for 6 months prior to filing the lawsuit. Am I still leagally married?

Re: Texas Divorce filing requirements
I believe if you don't object to defects they are waived. This would mean that when the final decree is signed by the judge, you are divorced.
See an attorney if the final decreee has not been signed and you want to object.
