how does texas get away with violateing texas constitutional rights.the way i understand it Artical 1 sec 18 states no one imprissoned for debt. yet everyyear many are I have been told child support is not a bebt yet the a.g willseize your irs return if you are behind through the irs and the irs letter planly states that the return was held for a debt.

People who are jailed in child support cases are jailed for contempt of court. That is, failure to follow through on an order of the court to pay support. Child support arrears are indeed a debt. Assets of a child support judgement debtor are subject to seizure and garnishment just like in any other suit for money.
