Texas separation

I am 6 months pregnant and my husband has abandoned me and our baby. He says he does not have to pay for my costs, only costs of the baby. I do not have a job or means to take care of me and my child

For him to be obligated to pay anying there needs to be court order. You can file for divorce on grounds of abandonment. You may be entitled to some sort of temporary support during the pendency of the divorce. You need to retain an attorney to assist you.

If you think you cannot affort to hire a lawyer (many work on payment plans), then contact the State Bar for a non-profit referral. In this area it is North Texas Legal Service in McKinney. Each area has someone. Contact them to see if you qualify for assistance.
