Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am in texas and the wife are splitting up, I get the house and she wants the truck. The truck is in my name and the house is in both of our names. We are doing a diy divorce as we do not have kids or joint bank accounts. How do we go about changing ownership of both or is it possible?

The transfer of title for the truck is easy. Go down to the County Clerk's office and they'll help you.

Transfer of TITLE (ownership) of the house is also easy: use a General Warranty Deed. Draft one, get it signed, and record it with the County Clerk.

If there's a MORTGAGE on the house, and both parties are signed on it (as debtors), then you'll have to get it refinanced in ONE party's name only. This requires the cooperation of a lender.
