Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Things are well.... difficult at home to put it gently and i was going to move out soon after my 17th birthday and move in with my fiance who is 18. We would be sharing this apartment with a close friend who is also 18. All of us will be attending school in some form and hopefully have jobs and split the rent 3 ways. My main concern is my parents trying to force me to come home or pressing changes on my fiance and roommate(this roommate is male). There will be no drugs present in the apartment or any form of illegal activities in the apartment it's on a good side of town with a low crime rate. Another factor that i was wondering about is if the length of the engagement would affect any of this in anyway. I need as much information and every loophole so I have a firm grip of this legally.y

You must live where your parents dictate until you are 18. If you leave, you parents can have you brought home. If you do it too many times, you can be charged as a runaway. Anyone who gives you a place to live knowing you are a runaway can be charged with harboring a runaway - a jailable offense.
Your "engagement" has zero effect, and you cannot even marry without your parents' agreement until you are 18.
