Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Thank you for your time,
We have a 16 year old daughter that is way out of control. Last week she had us robbed and a loaded pistol was taken among other things. She is currently under investigation for felony burglary.
We have kicked her out of the house and she is staying with friends. This is not the first offense last
year we tried to discipline her and she struck both of us, we had her charged with assault and she went juvenile detention for the weekend. She also had her mom's debit card stolen and hundreds of dollars in charges were made. We have tried to send her to her Grandparents and she just runs away. She also has run away several times with us. We can't afford to send her to a place to get the help she needs. The police say she really needs to come back home but that is not an option as we have a 10 year old son to think of. We need to know what are legal options are to keep us from being responsible for her when she does something again. I heard something about emancipation but do not know much about it. Please help as we are emotionally drained and are at our wit's end.
Thank you,
Jesse harrison

Emancipation is not an option for you.
You can turn her over to the custody of CPS and pay them child support.
