Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Tort for Slander
Is there any tort for slander allowed in a divorce case. I am currently living under temporary orders that state no party may make disparaging remarks about the other. My wife regularly tells our daughter's day care providers and school teachers that I am a psycho and dangerous.
Should I amend my divorce petition or file a civil suit?
Thanks!

Re: Tort for Slander
If she is violating temporary orders, you need to go back into court and modify the temporary orders or ask that she be held in contempt.
The court would probably order an attorney ad litem to represent the children's interests in the divorce.
If you don't have legal counsel, you need to hire someone immediately!
Good luck!
