What is a trial on merit in regards to divorce?

I assume that you received an envelope from the court.
For example, in Harris County, the court's computers send this form a few months before the case is scheduled for trial.
I also assume you have an attorney. You need to talk to your attorney.
If you don't have one you definately need hire one as soon as possible.
Obviously, your case is coming up to trial. If no one shows, most courts will dismiss. However, each county has something called LOCAL RULES and I don't know the rules in each county.
