Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I need to know if I can get in trouble with the state, Texas, for not turning in my daughter's father to the Attorney General when he moved back to town. He paid no support for the first 4 years. He paid a little support here and there - a few hundred dollars - the first year he was back in town. (He's been back about 2 1/2 years.) He paid $200 a month a year ago and about $350 a month for the past year. My daughter has been on Medicaid in the past - ended June of last year (I did not reapply) and I was on it for 6 months about 4 years ago.
Thank you
J.

No, you will not "get in trouble with the state" if you fail to "turn in" your ex-husband.
The exception may be if you are on welfare (TANF).
