Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Type Your Question Here...My children go the first weekend of every month to visit their father. The visits are supposed to be supervised at his parents house with either his mother or father present at all times per orders of the court. I've been finding out that the visits aren't being supervised and that his parents have been allowing my children to go to their father's house unsupervised and even over night. I need to know what steps to take to enforce the court orders are being followed. Do I need to file a police report? Do I file something? What steps do I need to take?

Hire an attorney to file a motion to enforce the order. Enforcement is very complicated because the pleading requirements are more involved than they are for any other kind of family law suit. If you do it on your own and HE hires an attorney, you will lose.

The police won't/can't help...leave them out of it.

You may need to let your attorney hire a private investigator so that you have more than hearsay to offer in court.

Good luck!!
