Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am unable to find my husband....he does not work...and his family is uncooperative. I am trying to get divored from him and had filed with the atty. gen. for child support but they dropped the case because they were unable to find him to serve him. Can get a divorce by publication?

Yes. You serve him by publication, and the court appoints an "ad litem" attorney to represent your husband at the final hearing. The ad litem will cost you an extra $300.

Be sure to keep a record of your efforts to find him.
