Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My Uncle wants a divorce from his bipolar wife. She's been in a mental hospital 3 times but each time for only the required 72 hours. She refuses to take her medicine and her behavior gets worse every day. They have 6 kids together that he wants to take full custody of. He went to a lawyer and they said he could not divorce a mentally sick spouse. Is that true?

No, that is false. People divorce crazy people all the time in Texas. I have two clients right now who are divorcing crazy women.
In fact, under section 6.007 of the Texas Family Code, if your wife is confined in a mental hospital, that in itself is grounds for divorce.
