Uniformed Services Former Spouses' Protection Act

How do I obtain a certificed clarifying order for division of military pension.

Wording in divorce paper is not specific since military member had not yet retired at time of divorce. Divorce was in El Paso, Texas, I currently live in Des Moines, Iowa. Department of Finance will not process claim for retirement aware without a certified clarifying order.

It sounds like you'd probably have to go back to court in Texas where the file is to get the court order you need. I'd contact an attorney there to run the paperwork for you.
