Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

How can I find a Law Student to handle an Interstate case in the matter of a Custody Proceeding?
My son and I have not been residents of the State of NY for 6 1/2 years. (NYS continues to enforce its' jurisdiction as set forth in our divorce settlement.) My ex-husband ceased paying his $1000./mo. Child Support Obligation 14 months ago. Last summer he then filed in NY to obtain custody of our son. The judge denied me telephonic appearance, assignment of counsel and an adjournment. I didn't have the ability to appear. My ex-husband obtained custody of our son and then, accordingly, was successful in having his Child Support Order terminated. My divorce cost me over $90K and bankrupted me, in part, because I have been 3000 miles away since our separation. My ex-husband was granted custody by NY 9 mos. ago. He no longer pays Child Support. He invited our son to 'visit' over Christmas or New Year's last year. Our son declined him. I really need help to set things right here.

Re: University Law Clinics
You need to contact an experienced licensed attorney in NY ASAP. Too much time may have already passed in order to file the appropriate legal challenges to the most recent conservatorship order. Law students cannot help you.
