Unmarried father being denied child
I have a son with my ex girlfriend and she has moved out of town but within driving distance and refuses to allow me to see him. i am listed on the birth certificate but there are no legal papers, i am scared for his well being, the mother has not been taking good care of him, what can i do? i live in bastrop county and have been told that i cant get help through legal aid unless its an abusive situation but i am not making enough money to get a lawyer soon enough. i was trying to do it on my own but havent even been able to figure out how to file for custody

No doubt it is a difficult situation, but you are going to need a lawyer. Many lawyers are competent to handle the situation you describe, and are willing to work with you on a payment plan. Keep calling lawyers until you find one that you can afford.
