Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Unreimbursed health care benefits
My divorce decree mandates that I maintain health insur coverage for minor child. Also indicates I'm responsible for 50% of unreimbursed health care expenses. Ex sends me handwritten receipts for braces in excess of $900 with no proof of payment or insur denials. Am I responsible for paying 50% of dental costs? I also carry vision + RX coverage for minor on my own. Your help is really appreciated!!

Re: Unreimbursed health care benefits
Yes, dental and braces are normally included in your obligations. Contact the provider directly and ask for copies of the actual bills and all payments, then pay your 50%. Remember if there is a balance due to the provider you can pay the provider directly.
