Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Urgent!
My son is going to live with my brother and my sister in law on a permanent basis. In order for them to have the same rights I have as a mother over him, what do I need to do?

You could give them custody. This requires a court order. Or you could give them guardianship. This also requires a court order. There is no form you can download from the internet to take the place of a court order. Good Luck.
Re: Urgent!
This is not a process that happens overnight. Certainly you can let your brother take possession of your child, (if it does not violate a court order regarding the child's father) but there is a legal process involved, that will take some time. It is not just a form. You and your brother need to talk with a lawyer that can discuss your various options.
Re: Urgent!
The people who are going to have possession of the child should file a modification suit with the court that entered the last order. The pleadings should ask that they be appointed as joint managing conservators of the child and request a change in the allocation of decision making authority on behalf of the child. I suggest you contact a lawyer to assist you and them with the matter.
