my husband (separated) and I have 2 vehicles, one while we were living together he paying for still anf the other one we paid cash for with OUR income tax $ this year. Both are in his name. I have a child in school and I work; can he take both vehicles legally?

Property acquired during the marriage is community property, and you own half of it. You need to retain an attorney, file for divorce, and get a temporary hearing, so that the judge can award the use of property pending the final outcome.
