Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Verbally abusive father

We got divorced 10 years ago and in that time my son's father has not had any consistant visitaiton with him. I moved from Houston to Austin 3 years ago and at the beginning his father could come to Austin 3-4 times a year, I would take him to Hosuton to see him 4-5 plus birthdays , graduation, weddings, funerals, etc. of his half brothers and father. His father had an attorney send me a letter exercising his fathers visitation rights claiming I have not allowed him to see his son. My son doesn't want to go to Houston along because hs father is extremely vebally and emotionally abusive. He's 13, is there anything he can to?

Re: Verbally abusive father

You need to take a copy of your decree and the letter you got and go talk to a good family law attorney. Don't wait until the father files an enforcement of visitation against you.
