Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Vindictive treatment towards child to irate other parent

Child's dad uses visition as a means to control and usurp my position as mother of our 5-yr old daughter. During visits her dad and step-mom, disallow child to call me when she asks, as well as, disassemble elaborate hair styles (professional braiding), knowing I have paid a professional fee for such style and refuse to take child to ballet classes during their weekend visition. My daughter has now lost 5 inches of hair, and I can't get step-mom to stop using heating devices and unknown chemicals on daughter's hair. I'm helpless to get dad and step-mom to recognize their actions are hurting child, as she crys over her excessive hair loss. Her dad has 2 family violence felony convictions (amazingly he blames me for abusing me). He now uses emotional and mental abuse on daughter and I. Does my child have to go bald before a court will recognize this vengeful behavior as not in best interest of child?

I find it virtually incredible that a Court will not intervene to stop this behavior against the child. Your ex-husband's two prior convictions for family violence make him a prime candidate for either termination or supervised visitation.

I recommend that you contact a lawyer practicing in your county immediately.
