Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Visitaion

My ex lives in Floida and I have primary custody of our 12 year old. I buy the return ticket for her visits. For Holidays the visitation ends at 6pm but I have purchased her a flight that leave at 3:45, this was the only flight for less than $500 and since I am not recieving child support, the only one I could afford. He is now saying he does not have to put her on plane since his time is not up until 6. Am I in violation or is the flight times a restriction that must be worked around when children travel?

Re: Visitaion

You really need an attorney to meet with you in person and discuss this face-to-face.

During the holidays, some flights are full and some flights won't accept minor children flying alone due to the number of stops, too many kids flying alone or times of the flight.

I encourage parents to be reasonable. The only person the two parents are hurting is the child.

Unfortuantely, it sounds like the child is being used to hurt the other parent.

Read your last court document and if mediation is requried, perhaps you can resolve your issues via mediation.

Or, one parent can buy the tickets round-trip and the other parent can reimburse the other parent for 1/2.

What a pity. I feel sorry for the child.

Season's Greetings!
