Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
visitation
Ex husband has never exercised his visitation once in my daughters 14 years of life. He stopped paying support when she was 4. I recently contacted local AG's office and got it started again and he is angry. Now out of spite wants to visit. My daughter is very upset and wants nothing to do with him and said she wishes her step dad could adopt her. If ex opposes does my daughter have any say in the matter since it's been so long. I just want her to be happy.

Re: visitation
YOU are in violation of the Order if she does not comply with the visitation. You could get it modified for supervised visitation for restricted hours and you might get it cut out altogether - but I gather that is not what the Order says right now. Remember this is an ORDER of the Court - not just a suggestion by the Judge. Judge's take a very dim view of people interpreting their Orders to suit them. You could probably get your X's rights terminated involuntarily if he will not agree if you new H would adopt the child. This is a legal process. If you don't know how to do it, hire a lawyer.
