Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Visitation Right

My ex husband is in a persistent vegetative state. His parents are insistent that they take over his visitation with our 2 children since they care for him at their home. I am willing to let them have the kids, but I don't think that they should just take over the father's visitation. Maybe one weekend a month? What is the legal standing on this?

Re: Visitation Right

Grandparents do not have the right to take over visitation without an order granted by the court. If they want to exercise their limited rights, maybe you should require them to get a court order. You don't necessarily have to be mean about it - ask your lawyer to to tell the judge you just want everybody's rights defined by an order.
