Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Visitation Rights

My fiance, who lives in texas, is currently paying child support for his 10 year old daughter in the state of Georgia. Which I might add he wasn't aware he was the father until 2002. He is having a lot of problems with visitation. What can he do legally? He has talked with the state of texas and based on what he explained to me he needs to speak with Georgia. He called Georgia and they explained since he lives in the state of Texas he would have to contact them.

Re: Visitation Rights

i don't know who he is talking to - sounds like a bunch of bureaucratic duds. The case is in GA; he will have to go to GA - legally speaking. He needs to hire a GA lawyer to get his visitation set up to bring the child to TX. That probably won't happen easily or anytime soon. He would have to establish a relationship with the child which means he would have to do a lot of traveling to GA. Good Luck
