Visitation rights
My Husband was married for 15 years, his ex- wife got legal cutody of her adopted daughter's son nine years ago and about a year ago they were seperated and his ex wife is making it very difficult to see or talk to his G-son. Over the year my Husband has seen him maybe 4 times for 20 mins. and talk to him 4 to 5 times and even when he needs cloths or other things she refuses to allow us to help. We Give him Chrismas and brithday and she will take it and say it was stolen. Does my husband have ANY rights to him by law is there anything we can do in the courts for my husband to have some visitation rights to him. YES, the boy does want to see his dad. please help us. Thank You!!!!

It appears from what you said that your husband has no blood relationship to the child, but he established a relationship with the boy. These question are usually decided on what is in the best interest of the child. He could file a Suit Affecting the Parent Child Relationship seeking visitation rights. This would probably take an open-minded judge and your husband would have to have evidence and testimony that it was in the best interest of the child to have the visitation. The child could testify but that would be some burden on the child because he would have to go home after testifying against his grandmother.
