Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Visitation
My sons father has not had anything to do with him in about 1 1/2 years and now he is calling wanting the have visits with hinm and only because of people telling him too cause he has done this before and it does not last. He is not even paying the full amount of child support that was agree on by the courts and he is wanting to see him on his time that is best for him. I have recently found out that he is on drugs and drinks heavily so therefore I do not want my son around that. What can I do about taking his rights away or suspending them?

Re: Visitation
I assume, because you reference child support, that there is a court order governing periods of possession between you and your son's father.
You ought to seek a modification of the court's order restricting the father's access to the child. If you believe the father has a drug and alcohol problem, you may be able to restrict his access to your son to supervised visitation, or possibly by agreement with you.
A family law attorney will be able to help you obtain the necessary modifications to the court order.
