Visitation

I have 12 and 11 year old daughters that do not want to go to their dads this weekend. What can I do?

Re: Visitation

Why don't they want to go? Is something harmful happening at dad's house? Did this just come out of the blue, or has it been building? If the girls are being harmed, then you have to bring it to the court's attention, and get the court to intervene and stop it. If they are not being harmed, then they have to go.

Re: Visitation

11 and 12 year olds shouldn't get to make this kind of decision. It is you who will suffer the consequences if their father pursues an enforcement against you. Do they understand you could go to jail. Do they understand that they could end up living with him because you have no control over them and don't comply with the order? Good luck!
