Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

waiver of Citation

Should I sign a Waiver of Citation? My Spouse has presented me with a Final Divorce Decree 2 days ago but I disagree with certain terms within the document and wants the waiver signed by today?

Re: waiver of Citation

My suggestion would be for you to consult with an attorney before signing anything. Technically, signing the waiver would be alright (because it only gives up your right to be personally served with paperwork which you probably already have,)but if you have problems with the terms of the proposed decree, seek independent advice. I am a board certified specialist in the field of family law practicing here in the Houston area. If you would contact me directly, I could address the issues you are confronted with.
