waiving Child support

Can child support and visitation be waived by the affected parties?

Need more information to answer your question. E.g., What is the procedural context of your question? Divorce, modification, enforcement, no court proceedings pending, or something else? Speaking very generally, the parties have the power to make an agreement waiving child support, but frequently courts will not approve or enforce such agreements. I suppose the same would be true of visitation, but usually this point does not come up because the parent with visitation rights simply fails to exercise them.
