Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Im wanting to file for divorce but I dont know where my ex is at. The last thing I heard was that he isn't in the country. He was ilegally here when we got married, we have no kids nor property. How would I go about to file divorce if he cant come to sign the papers?

Hire a lawyer who can proceed by giving notice in a manner other than personal service - like posting in the newspaper.
