Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Weekend possesion extended by a holiday

I have currently ran into a problem with the father of my child and the thanksgiving visitation. We have temporary orders and there are no specifications in the orders about Thanksgiving and christmas. The father gets visitation with my child the 2nd, 4th, and 5th weekends of the month for right now according to the temporary orders. Well next weekend is the 4th weekend of the month and is also the thanksgiving holiday. I have read in the temp orders that if a holiday falls on a friday of the visitation weekend then the father will get the child on the thursday before at 6pm. Well what happens if the thursday of that week is a holiday (Thanksgiving)? Does my child's father get my child the wednesday before at 6pm, or do the orders stay the same and he would get her on thursday at 6pm and bring her back on sunday at 6pm? please help!!!!!

Re: Weekend possesion extended by a holiday

This is a question for your attorney. If you don't have an attorney that probably explains the lack of holiday visitation language in the Temporary Orders. You really need a good family law attorney if you are in this kind of a divorce and you need one now. Good luck.
