Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Wife absconded to MA with children

MY family and I just recently moved to TX from MA. After 4 and a half months my wife decided she was going to take my 3 kids (7,10,15) back to MA for school vacation. While there, she called and said she wasn't coming back with them. My oldest son (15) finally came back to TX. She has since filed for divorce in MA seeking support. I probably have not met the time requirement for TX jurisdiction unless there is a special circumstance. Is this legal to just leave with children under deception? My children had no idea what she was going to do. Also, two weeks before they left, my wife was detained for causing a domestic situation and was taken to a mental hospital for evaluation. Do I have any legal right as a parent with regard to my 3 children? She has been granted temporary custody however I am sure that the judge in MA does not know all circumstances. I was served papers on April 3rd and the hearing was on the 9th. Is this an adequate amount of time for me to be able to prepare for a hearing in MA?

I would appreciate any insight you may be able to offer.

A MA court is soon to make a decision on your case. If you want to be heard, you better hire a MA lawyer. If you don't you are going to be bound by what the judge says. Good Luck.
