Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My wife is bipolar and volatile. I am going to tell her I want a divorce but I know she will take the kids when she leaves. I can't let her leave the house with the kids for their safety. I am sure the courts will ultimately decide who should have primary custody but until such time as that has been determined how can I legally keep them in the home?

Your best bet would be to leave, and take the kids with you, and immediately file for divorce. And ask for temporary orders.
