Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my ex wife has custody of my 11yr old daughter in the divorce papers it says i need to have a phone# to where i can get a hold of my daughter but my ex has me blocked and the only time i get to talk to my daughter is when i pick her up every other week im worried because i believe my daughter is staying home by her self after school and also because my exs sister treats her really bad the whole problem here is because my ex dont want my daughter to have any kind of communication with my actual wife i went to the police and they told me they couldnt help me also my ex has been in a violent relationship and my daughter has mentioned to me she locks her self in the room because she is affraid of the fights between her mom and her boyfriend i need help what can i do?

Get your phone bill to show all the calls you have tried to make to the number you were provided.. Run a criminal record check to see if your ex has any family violence convictions or arrests. File a motion to enforce the provision of the decree that she has been violating. Also, if you can prove that your ex has violence issues, you should think about a motion to modify the custody.
