Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
My wife and I want a divorce. We live in Texas and agree on what to do with our property (the house and car). We even agree on our daughter. We agreed to joint custody, one week with mom one week with dad. However she wants to add one thing that is that I have to take my medication when taking care of our daughter. I have A.D.D. and take Adderall. I dont have a problem taking my meds. I function better with them. However I really dont want it to be part of the court papers that I need to be on meds when taking care of my daughter. This is holding up me leaving the house where we live in separate bedrooms as well as filling out papers for the divorce.
Am I being unreasonable about this? Can she come back and say I dont think he is taking his meds even If I am and get the courts involved? Is this something that I really need to worry about?

Would she agree to a provision that "It is ordered that each parent shall take any and all medicines prescribed for him by a doctor in accordance with the doctor's prescription prior to the time the child reaches the age of 18 or finishes high school, whichever occurs last"?
You don't have to wait for a 100% agreement before you file for divorce.
It would be very difficult to enforce a must-take-prescription-drugs provision in a divorce decree.
