Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Wife hid her cash income during the marriage and had been making investments in assets with that. During divorce, she ignored declaring the income and assets and only husband's savings were declared and divided with majority of these assets given to wife. Husbands lawyer missed this and did not enforce financial disclosure assuming she had no income. It's been 3 years since divorce. Husband has requested her in writing to declare her assets and prior income. Ex-wife continues to ignore this request or mediation to discuss. She has since dispose off these assets in cash and hid the cash. ex-Husband has proof of some of these assets. Can disclosure be requested after three years? Will husband be liable for back taxes of hidden ex-wife income? Husband wants her to commit these towards children's college education which is in jeopardy and due shortly.

The court loses jurisdiction over the divorce 30 days after the judge signs the final decree of divorce. The husband cannot go back to court on this case. Even if he tries, the judge does not have any jurisdiction over the divorce any longer.
Additionally, in Texas, child support for children ends at the time the child turns 18 or graduates from high school. So expecting her to contribute to a grown child's college education might be nice but no court can order her to do so under Texas law.
