my ex wife want to hypenate my son name to her current husband last name, but my son is a jr and i pay child support and my son is on health insurance, i told her no unless her husband is willing to adopt my son, but she want the child support and my son to have his step father last name what do i do.

Don't consent to the name change. When she sets a court hearing, she has to notify you. Attend the hearing and object.
You will need to stay on top of this. She may file papers without sending you a copy and then lie to the court that she can't find you. So don't try to hide from the problem. Check with the court house every 20 days or so to make sure nothing has been filed "In the intest of [your child's name]."
