Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex wife is asking me to lift the geological restrictions in our decree. If I do this will my visitation schedule stay the same as it is?? (1st, 3rd, and 5th weekend of every month)

I would strongly urge you to talk to an attorney BEFORE you do anything.

I charge $1 per minute to sit and talk to you in person.

Email me at [email protected] if you are interested.

If she moves across the country (say to Alaska or what if she moves outside the US) I don't see how you will have visits 1-3 and 5th week-ends unless you have a lot of money to fly the child to you.

If she's moving far away and it will impact your visitation, you can ask for over 100 mile visitation. That gets you every Spring Break and more time in the summer to make up for missing Thursday night visits.

Also, you might be able to get her to pay all or part of the additional cost of transportation.

As you can see, it's a complex question.

Good luck!
