Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My ex wife taking my property

Not sure if this is a Family Law question. My ex wife and I have been living together for over a year trying to make things work again. She recently changed the locks on a rent house we have been renting (which is another story, how can she kick me out of a house I am paying for and my name is on) anyway i went to get some of my things and they were not there. I am sure she pawned them. Can I charge her with Stolen Property? The main things are the washer/Dryer, my lawn mower and weed eater, and most importantly my golf clubs. Now since my name is on the lease I have to pay the rent because she doesnt work, or my kids will have no place to stay, and the landlord will keep me responsible for the rent.

You probably need to sit down with a good family law attorney and discuss the situation. You're right, a lot of this isn't really family law, but your children are involved.

Feel free to call my office if you would like to set up an appointment. I do not charge for initial consultations.
