Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My wife of four years, filed for divorce two weeks ago. I dont want a divorce, do i have to sign the papers when the time comes?

Generally, an individual does not have to sign anything they do not want to. But your not refusal to sign the papers will not stop the divorce from proceeding to finalization. I'm sorry that this has happened.

The State of Texas has a policy that you cannot force a person to stay married.

I can offer you the following ideas:

1. Sit down with me for $1 a minute ($60 an hour) and discuss your options.

No court can order her to stay married to you.

I am glad to help you make sure that your parental rights are protected. I charge $200/hour.

Shop around. My prices based on my level of experience is very reasonable.

I'm sorry that you are going through this. However, you can't stop her from divorcing you.
