Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
wild child custody situation
I have bi-polarism. i have not taken my meds regulary, over the past 5 years. I have stolen from my ( soon to be ) ex-wife, refused to pay for school clothes, daycare, for atleast 4 months with the money she has given me for our two sons.
I have taken off and left for several months......but now i want to file for conservitorship of my two sons.
What are my chances of getting my kids, when i file.
Should i snatch them out of school of where the mother has the kids at ??
And then file for custody. in a school close to my area.....since possession is 9/10 of the law.
Will that give me a better edge in court.... and / or IF this goes to a home study situation. ????
PLEASE tell me your opinoin.....thanks.

Re: wild child custody situation
Snatching your children from school could possibly be the worst choice you could make. Possession is not 9/10 of the law. That is a TV saying, not real life.
Hire a lawyer. Develop a track record for being the responsible, reliable, dependable father that the children need you to be. Once you establish that lifestyle, then the court may determine that your conservatorship is in their best interest. You have a lot of history to overcome first.
