Will my boyfriends income tax return be withheld if he files with me as a dependent and I owe child support, but my case is a registry-only?

Registry-only has no bearing on tax refund interception. If the AG has confirmed an arrearage of $500 or more, they will refer your SSN to the IRS and any tax refund that comes to your SSN will be intercepted.

But if he's filing an individual return and listing you as a dependent, the refund will not have your SSN attached and therefore should not be garnished/intercepted.
