Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I will try to make this short as possible. My fiance has 2 boys that he has been taking care of for almost 2 years. The mother, whom ran off to another city to move in with her lover(have email documention we gave to lawyer) has not given him any money support. Along with no child support, she has not seen her kids on a regular basis. So, I told him that he needed to hire a lawyer and get custody of boys because they are living with him now. He did so, she finally hired an attorney..the problem is that she is turning this case like she is the victim of it all. He has agreed to 1st,3rd&5th weekend visitation and now attorney calls for a mediation next week. The problem is that his attorney has not returned any of his calls to see what's going on and what is their to mediate? What can the mother actually try to get out of this case. All he wants is custody and child support. The strange thing is why the attorney is not returning calls...seems something is going on behind my fiance' back. Please advise.

If you currently have an attorney of your own you should consult with them as to what the process of mediation is all about. If you do not have an attorney, you need one.
