Does a Will precede a marriage license? If I choose to leave all my belongs purchased before my current marriage in a will to someone else will my current spouse still have rights to it?

You really need to meet with an attorney face to face.

I highly recommend PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713-807-9405. Talk to Jessica in her office and tell her that FRAN sent you.

Anyone can contest a will. The usual reason to contest a will is "undue influence".

I DO NOT recommend an on-line form. You need to make sure that a TEXAS attorney does the paperwork to make sure it is a valid will!! PLEASE! If the court determines your will is not valid, then the property is divided according to TX law.

In Texas you can leave your "stuff" to anyone you want. But remember "stuff" like bed, clothes, jewelry are not traceable like real estate or an autombile. If you really want the person to get the item, then "gift" it to the person while you are alive. Then you know the person will get your gift.

Happy Holidays!
